Apple TV+, in turn, is increasing its prices.

STREAMING – Apple TV+ follows the trend. The streaming platform recently announced in several media outlets that it would increase the price of its monthly subscription by 3 euros, from 4.99 euros at launch to 6.99 euros a year ago to now 9.99 euros per month.

The increase applies immediately to new subscribers. And for those who already have a subscription, the increase will take effect no later than 30 days, depending on the renewal date, according to an Apple spokesperson interviewed by American broadcaster NBNC.

This increase is not an isolated case. Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video recently announced that they would increase their prices. So how much does each of these subscriptions cost? HuffPost takes stock below.

Netflix

In mid-October, Netflix announced that it would increase its prices. An announcement affecting the Essential and Premium formulas. Now calculate 10.99 euros per month for the first (compared to 8.99 euros before) and 19.99 euros per month for the second (compared to 17.99 euros before). Nothing changes with the “standard” offers with or without advertising: they remain at 5.99 and 13.49 euros.

Disney+

This ends the individual subscription to Disney+ for 8.99 euros per month. From November 1st, this single offer will be replaced by three offers. The first starts at 5.99 euros per month and now includes advertising before the programs are played. The second is a “standard” subscription without advertising for 8.99 euros per month or 89.90 €/year. The “Premium” subscription is more expensive due to the image quality it offers (4K Ultra HD and HDR): it costs 11.99 euros per month or 119.90 euros/year.

Prime Video

Like Netflix and Disney+, Prime Video wants to place advertising in front of its content. This ad-supported offering will launch in the US, UK, Germany and Canada in early 2024 before launching in France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and Australia later this year. The price of the standard Prime subscription does not change. However, subscribers can opt for ad-free content for a few euros more.

The price remains unchanged in France for the time being: 6.99 euros per month. There is also a cheaper offer for €69.90/year. There’s also 9.99 euros if you want to benefit from the Warner Pass (which includes HBO productions like “The White Lotus” and “Succession”).

Apple TV+

As mentioned above, Apple TV+ is also increasing its prices. Since launching in France in 2019, the platform has doubled the price: you now need 9.99 euros per month to watch Ted Lasso, The Changeling or Foundation.

myCANAL

Nothing changes in terms of price for Canal+. The Ciné Series package, which includes access to OCS, Disney+, Canal+ Séries, Netflix and Apple TV+ in addition to the main channel, costs €34.99 per month for 12 months, then €45.99 per month thereafter. As a reminder, the platform is now the only one that benefits from media chronology and is therefore able to broadcast theatrical films in preview.

MUBI

The MUBI platform, which Le Monde described in 2020 as a “film library just a click away,” is less mainstream than its counterparts and has also seen rising prices since its launch. The non-binding 9.99 euros per month is now 11.99 euros.

Paramount+

For Paramount+, which has been available in France since 2022, the subscription costs 7.99 euros per month. At least for now.
