The Multi-Défis association of Rivière-du-Loup, which was threatened with closure last June due to a precarious financial situation, managed to stay afloat thanks to the short-term financial support of various donors.
The organization seriously considered closing its doors for at least the summer period. But a sudden outburst of generosity made it possible to avoid the worst. According to Karine-Andrée Béchard, director of the Multi-Défis Association, several donors, including elected officials, have helped replenish the organization’s coffers, which has been able to offer its services to disabled people uninterrupted throughout the year.

Karine-Andrée Béchard remains concerned about the long-term future of the organization. In fact, the financial situation of the Multi-Défis association is a constant struggle. The director is therefore in no position to be careless if she wants to avoid the same nightmare scenario as last spring, especially since the period of uncertainty in recent months has led to her losing a resource in her team.
